Hi there,
I’m Chary.

Raised in a diverse and dynamic environment, I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of social safety nets. These essential support systems not only provide services that helped my family - who came to the U.S. as war-torn refugees but the personal experience inspired me to pursue educational opportunities that laid the foundation for shaping my future in healthcare. As a community health advocate, I am dedicated to supporting social justice causes and dismantling barriers that disproportionately affect marginalized communities while also ensuring equitable access to healthcare is delivered in a culturally competent manner. Beyond my professional endeavors, I enjoy traveling and making memories with my little family. I am also an animal lover - my heart melts at the sight of anything fluffy, feathery, or scaly (yes, that includes snakes). My other interests are supporting or volunteering for local community organizations like PARL, LHK9 Rescue, Save the Bay, What Cheer Farm, and the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center. My commitment to my community is to build a thriving and more inclusive future for all.
