Bonjou, mwen se Corinne.

Mwen se yon ayisen, mwen rive Ozetazini ane pase. Mwen fini lekol medsin Ayiti epi mwen reyalize ke edikasyon mwen te limite paske mwen te vle gen yon pi gwo enpak sou sante kominote mwen. Kidonk mwen rive antre nan on pwogram sante piblik nan inivèsite Harvard (mwen toujou paka kwe sa rive vre!) kifè mwen vini viv Boston.

Mwen pa janm imigran nan lavim avan sa, kidonk le mwen pati al etidye nan yon lot peyi mwen vinn konprann koman pou jwenn resous lè ou bezwen èd ka difisil. Mwen paka tann pou mwen ka itilize eksperyans mwen avek edikasyon mwen te resevwa pou mwen ka ede kenbe kominote mwen an sante epi an sekirite.

Hi there,
I’m Corinne.

I’m from Haiti and came to the US about a year ago. I completed medical school in Haiti and realized that my training as a physician was quite limited as I wanted to have a bigger impact on the health of the community around me. So I got into the Masters in Public Health program at Harvard (still can’t believe it!) which is why I moved to Boston.

I had never been an immigrant before and being an international student on loans in a different country really gave me a new understanding of how confusing it can be to find and access resources when in need. I’m really excited to use my own experience navigating the system as well as my education to help keep my community safe and healthy.
