Hi there, I’m John.
When I was at my lowest, someone answered the phone one day and saved my life. I want to do the same for you! I was homeless for one year before that call. From that experience, I found my passion and began my journey in this field. I started volunteering whenever I could. Then, I became a certified peer mentor and met my first mentor. Now, I am working towards my community health worker certification.
I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. Hopefully, I can be that call for you one day.

Un día alguien contestó el teléfono por mí cuando estaba en mi punto más bajo y me salvó la vida. ¡Me gustaría poder hacer lo mismo por ti algún día! Entré en esta línea de trabajo porque estuve sin hogar durante un año antes de esa llamada, ¡después de eso encontré mi pasión! Comencé a ser voluntario siempre que pude. A partir de ahí me convertí en un mentor de pares certificado, donde conocí a mi primer mentor. Ahora estoy trabajando para obtener mi certificación de Trabajador de Salud Comunitario.
Espero conocer a todos y cada uno de ustedes. Ojalá pueda ser esa llamada para ti algún día.
