Hola, soy Lismeris.

Nací en New Jersey y crecí en Rhode Island. He vivido en Providence, Pawtucket y ahora resido en Cranston. Mis padres emigraron de la República Dominicana a los Estados Unidos en febrero de 1991 (nací un mes después y fui la primera nieta en nacer en los Estados Unidos). Mis padres me enseñaron que el trabajo duro y el sacrificio pueden ayudarte a mejorar. Al recordar mi infancia, puedo decir honestamente que he sido Trabajadora de Salud Comunitaria desde que tengo memoria, interpretando para mis padres en citas médicas, oficinas gubernamentales e incluso en las escuelas a las que asistí. Ser defensora de mis padres cuando era niña y ahora que soy adulta, puedo decir que me ha moldeado para estar en este rol.

He estado trabajando en el campo médico durante aproximadamente 10 años y no lo cambiaría por nada del mundo; realmente amo trabajar en este campo. He trabajado como asistente de enfermería certificada y como asistente médica, y estoy muy orgullosa de esos roles anteriores, ya que me mostraron cuántas personas realmente necesitan ayuda.

Recibí mi certificación de Trabajadora de Salud Comunitaria en diciembre de 2022. Tengo experiencia trabajando con muchas culturas y orígenes. Estoy muy emocionada por esta nueva oportunidad en BosWell para servir de apoyo para usted y su familia.

I’m Lismeris.

I was born in New Jersey and raised in Rhode Island. I have lived in Providence, Pawtucket and now reside in Cranston. My parents immigrated from the Dominican Republic to the United States in February of 1991 (I was born a month later becoming the first grandchild to be born in the USA). My parents taught me how hard work and sacrifice can help you better yourself. Looking back at my childhood, I could honestly say I have been a Community Health Worker for as long as I can remember, by interpreting for my parents at doctors' appointments, government offices and even at schools I attended. Being an advocate for my parents as a child and now an adult I can say it has molded me to be in this role.

I have been working in the medical field for about 10 years and wouldn’t change that for anything in the world; I truly love working in this field. I’ve worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and as a Medical Assistant and I am very proud of those past roles as they showed me how many people truly need help.

I received my Community Health Worker certification in December of 2022. I have experience working with many cultures and  backgrounds. I am so excited for this new opportunity at BosWell to support you and your family.
